1965 Company founded
EUWA was founded on August 1, 1965, by Hanns-Heinz Eumann and his wife Elisabeth, specializing in water treatment solutions for the brewing and beverage industry..
1967 New Headquarters
EUWA moved into its current headquarters on Daimlerstrasse in Gärtringen.
1975 Development of EUGEMAT
Patented system for efficient water treatment with reduced regenerant and wastewater consumption. The first trademarked technology from EUWA.
1984 Calcium addition
Development and patenting of a low-oxygen calcium blending process specifically for use in breweries.
1987 Michael Eumann joins the company
Michael Eumann joins the family business and is now the second generation managing the company.
1996 Growth in Asia
EUWA Singapore was founded
1997 Joanne Liu joined EUWA Singapore
Joanne Liu became part of the company and today holds the position of Managing Director at EUWA Singapore.
1999 Retirement and resignation from active business operations
Hanns-Heinz and Elisabeth Eumann retire from the business.
2002 CALMIX® System
Patented system for increasing calcium non-carbonate hardness.
2004 First EROX®-Water Deaeration System
Membrane technology for oxygen removal.
2006 Ultrafiltration
The first Ultrafiltration system was built.
2007 Entry into Company Management
Wolfgang Winkler becomes the first non-family member to be appointed Technical Managing Director.
2008 Management role in Singapore
Joanne Liu is appointed Managing Director of EUWA Singapore.
2010 LIQUICK® System
Patented system for the treatment of reverse osmosis concentrate.
2011 Water Recycling
EUWA builds the first end-of-pipe wastewater recycling plant in a large brewery.
2013 Milestone in EUWA's company history
Largest water treatment plant with 1,155 m³/h for a brewery in Asia.
2016 New Office Building in Gärtringen
New office building with photovoltaic system and latest building technology.
2020 Opening of EUWA Latam
EUWA opened a branch office in Honduras to serve the American market.
2020 New Technology Center
A modern research and development lab (R&D lab) was built for the development and testing of new technologies and processes.
2021 E-Mobility Begins
First electric vehicles introduced – fleet now fully electric.
2023 EUWA Peru
Opening of an office in Peru to support further expansion in South America.
2024 New Head of Technical Management
Christian Schäberle assumes leadership of the technical division.
